Jeffrey J. Saavedra, Esq.

Jeffrey J. Saavedra is an associate in the New York office of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and a member of the firm’s Finance Group and Structured Finance and Securitization Practice. Having previously practiced at Latham & Watkins LLP, he represents banks, issuers, underwriters, and other financial institutions across a broad spectrum of structured finance, securitization, warehousing, and secured financing transactions, with a particular focus on traditional and esoteric asset-backed securities spanning sectors like music, digital infrastructure, and whole business. Beyond his commercial practice, Jeffrey is a dedicated advocate for Latino equity and community leadership; he maintains an active pro bono practice handling asylum, corporate governance, and military discharge matters, served as President of the Dominican Bar Association in 2023, and has been recognized with honors including the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Top Lawyers Under 40 Award and El Diario’s El Awards. An active alumnus of New York Law School, he frequently speaks on panels covering commercial law and diversity initiatives through organizations such as the HNBA and its LGBT Division.
