For decades, the LGBT Bar Association Foundation of Greater New York, LeGaL, has bestowed its highest honor, the Community Vision Award, to recognize individuals or organizations with a distinguished record of service to the LGBTQ community, including a sustained commitment to achieving equal rights for all members of our community.
This year, LeGaL is thrilled to announce plans to present Community Excellence Awards, which will recognize New York LGBTQ legal professionals, across all fields of practice, for their commitment to the LGBTQ community and for high achievement in the profession. Recipients of Community Excellence Awards will be celebrated and recognized alongside Community Vision Award recipients at LeGaL’s annual gala in February.

Community Excellence Awards will be bestowed on New York-licensed attorneys at any stage of their careers and across all fields of professional practice, including: public interest; government; non-profit; in-house; large, small, and mid-size firms; academia; and the judiciary. The Awards will recognize a commitment to serving the LGBTQ community and a record of distinction in the practice of law. Self-nominations are accepted.
