Join us for an Ask Me Anything-style discussion on the topic: Well-being advice for LGBT legal professionals: Q&A with a therapist.   

LeGaL is partnering with AwareHealth, an LGBT-founded organization that is dedicated to support well-being in the legal profession.  AwareHealth is a mental well-being platform designed by lawyers for the legal community. The platform is anonymous to use includes: Moderated peer support from law professionals, weekly byte-sized exercises, and skill-building workshops with certified coaches.

We will be discussing the platform and topics of mental health in the profession with Wilfred Krenn, VP of Clinical Development at AwareHealth.

  • Wilfred Krenn, MA, LPC: VP of Clinical Development at AwareHealth

Panelist Bios:

Eric Lesh is the Executive Director of The LGBT Bar Association and Foundation of Greater New York (LeGaL). Prior to joining LeGaL, Eric was the Fair Courts Project Director for Lambda Legal. Eric has written and presented educational programs for legal professionals on topics like: “Addressing Racial, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Bias in Jury Selection” and “Emerging Transgender Legal Issues for Family Court Judges.” Eric’s articles have been published in the Family Court Review, N.Y. Times, the Washington Post, The L.A. Times, and The Advocate. In 2017, he was recognized as one of the Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 by the National LGBT Bar Association. Eric received a B.F.A. in Musical Theater from the Boston Conservatory and his J.D. from Hofstra Law School, where he was an LGBT Rights Fellow

Wilfred is a licensed professional counselor. In addition to expertise in the impact of stress on the brain, he has consulted on a number of emerging technologies in mental health. His clinical practice focuses on helping highly intelligent and creative professionals making the most of their natural abilities by managing the impact of stress and mental health symptoms. Throughout his career Wilfred has counseled legal professionals to more fulfilling and vibrant lives. AwareHealth is a new and innovative way to continue this work.
