The Child-Parent Security Act
Time & Location
About The Event
The Child-Parent Security Act (CPSA) is the most important advance in family law for LGBTQI New Yorkers since marriage equality. State Sen. Brad Hoylman, lead sponsor of the legislation, and Brian Esser, a practitioner and advocate, will discuss the coalition that came together to support the bill, and how the new law will reduce burdens on our community as we build our families through sperm and egg donation or gestational surrogacy. Christopher Oldi, of Legal Services of the Hudson Valley and Secretary of LeGaL's Family and Matrimonial Committee, will moderate this discussion.
This virtual lunch-and-learn is part of LeGaL's new Power Lunch Series. The events are free, but please consider making a donation in support of the LeGaL Foundation here.
