In this 1.5 hour CLE you will learn about the legal process by which an Article 81 guardian is appointed and monitored, the role of the court evaluator and the court examiner, and the powers and responsibilities of a guardian within the context of the New York State Mental Hygiene Law. The training, led by Beth L. Williams, will also address specific issues, including alternatives to guardianship, medical advocacy, fiduciary and financial matters, real property and housing concerns, and end-of-life decision-making.
