Pride 2020: A Kiki with Bob the Drag Queen and Peppermint
Time & Location
About The Event
A kiki is a type of queer gathering and celebration. Kikis are often considered to be a source of stress release and relaxation, where queer people can freely be themselves, without needing to repress aspects of their identity for safety.
The virtual event will feature a discussion with Caldwell Tidcue and Peppermint. Caldwell, also known as Bob the Drag Queen, is an American drag queen, comedian, activist, musician, and reality television personality, known for winning the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Peppermint is an actress, singer, television personality, drag queen, and activist, known as the runner-up on the ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. In 2018, Peppermint made her debut in The Go-Go's-inspired musical Head Over Heels as Pythio, becoming Broadway’s first openly trans woman to originate a principal role.
Attendees are invited to show their support and solidarity by wearing a LeGaL Pride shirt during the event. Shirts, totes, bandanas, and pins can be purchased here. A portion of the proceeds goes to the LeGaL Foundation.
